OFSI, the Observatory for
the Safer Use of the Internet,
intends to: |
- Create a common, permanent and virtual
space for European citizens and target groups studied by the SIFKaL
project, about an educational and social relevant use of the Internet.
- Offer materials, educational and social
resources for the development of the knowledge and the decision
making, using the Internet.
- Offer access to the Internet resources
(general web-sites, information pools, projects, etc.) relevant
to safer Internet use via commented link lists.
- Propose information about relevant actions
and activities for the target groups: parents, librarians, teachers,
local authorities.
- Propose counselling to people and organisations
of the target groups about a safer use of the Internet.
- Provide a communication infrastructure
for information exchange on safer Internet use.
- Promote and facilitate the exchange and
communication between the people and organisations related with
the target groups.
- Propose criteria of evaluation to the
Internet products and actions in relation with the target groups.
- Propose examples of best and good practices
with safer Internet in relation to the people and organisation
of the targets groups.
- Facilitate the critical debate about the
changes in the use and extension of the Internet in relation with
the target groups.
- Support products, actions and materials
elaborated by people and organisations of the target groups with
and about the Internet, through the OFSI-Web.
