The SIFKAL (Safer Internet for Knowing and Living) project studied the educational and social aspects of the Internet, and worked to promote educational and socially important use of the Internet in the EU. A goal of SIFKAL was the establishment of a safe, socially responsible, and useful way to use the Internet without employing technical restrictions or other limitations. The primary job of the project was to expound upon and share knowledge about educational and societal uses of the Internet in many formats and across many languages and cultures.
